Practical AI Literacy for Job Seekers, Career Changers, and
the Counselors Who Support Them.
AllSett Consulting brings hands-on AI literacy to workforce development programs for the job seekers navigating today's hiring landscape and for the career counselors and case managers guiding them through it. No hype, no jargon. Just practical skill-building that helps people move forward with confidence.
WHY THIS MATTERS NOW
AI has changed both sides of the hiring process: how people apply and how employers screen. Most job seekers haven't been shown how to use it well, or how to protect themselves from the scams that have grown alongside it. Career counselors are often asked to advise on all of this without much guidance themselves. This program addresses both sides at once.

Practical tool use for resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn, and interview prep — alongside a clear-eyed look at how to spot the AI-enabled scams now targeting job seekers. Participants leave with tools they can use immediately, and the judgment to use them well.

A coaching-focused session for the staff doing the advising. Covers how to guide clients through AI-assisted job searching, how employers are using AI to screen candidates, and where coaching crosses into something else. Includes practical AI use for lightening a counselor's own caseload.
The complete program, with guided practice and small-group work.
A condensed version for tighter schedules, covering the same core material at a faster pace.
For programs that run in cohorts: the flagship session, followed by hands-on labs on materials, interview prep, and a personalized wrap-up plan for each participant.
Each topic (practical tool use, self-protection, counselor coaching) is also available as a stand-alone 30–45-minute session for programs that want to start smaller.
Every session adapts to the group in the room. Two examples already in use: a shorter Rapid Response version built to run alongside layoff-event logistics, such as benefits and unemployment insurance sign-up, and a version built specifically for the federal-to-private-sector transition, for a population the DC region knows well right now. Tell me who's walking through your door, and the session gets built around them.

Every session can include a short, optional check-in at the start and end, where participants rate their confidence before and after. It's not a test. It's a simple way for your program to point to real skill gains, not just a headcount, when it's time to report on what the training accomplished.
